Mr. Love   moved the adoption of the following Resolution:

WHEREAS, The Clerk gave notice to the Board this date of the Engineer’s completed survey and  estimate of the construction area for the Michael Moening Ditch  #933 project.

and

WHEREAS, The proposed project commences approximately 80 rods west of the center of section 11, Pleasant Twp., Putnam County, Ohio, at sta 0+00 of the Old John Kleforn Tile on the North side of Road N-8; thence downstream along the course of the John Kleforn Tile and B.R. Utendorf Tile through sections 11,10 & 3 Pleasant Twp. to the Utendorf Dt. 868 and there terminate.

now therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the 9th day of  April, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. in the General Assembly Room of the Putnam County Court House, Ottawa, Ohio, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place for the final hearing on the proposed improvement.

Mr.   Schroeder            moved the adoption of the following Resolution:

WHEREAS, It has been deemed necessary to advertise for the construction of an open ditch known as the Putnam County Road O, partial width ditch relocation, section 14, Pleasant Township.

now therefore, be it

RESOLVED, Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Putnam County Commissioners, Court House, Ottawa, Ohio, until 9:30 a.m. on the 7th day of July, 2009, at which time they will be opened and publicly read aloud for the construction of an open ditch known as the Putnam County Road O, partial width ditch relocation, Section 14, Pleasant Township. The project consists of approximately 7000 cubic yards of open ditch excavation, backfill and compaction, 650 lf of C.M.P. installation, ditch bank and berm seeding and mulching, rock placement and tile end pipe installations.  All in accordance with the plans and specifications.

RESOLVED,  The Putnam County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the lowest legal bid deemed in the best interest of Putnam County and to waive informalities.

and be it further

RESOLVED,  Successful bidder agrees to pay wages as set for Putnam County, Ohio by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division.

and be it further

RESOLVED,  Bid documents and construction plans for the proposed work are available in the Putnam County Engineer’s Office located on the second floor of the Putnam County Court House in Ottawa.

RESOLVED,  Project to be completed by September 25, 2009.

WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners is of the opinion that the flow of traffic in the court house will be at a minimum on  Good Friday, April 10, 2009, and to allow employees to attend services if they so desire.

RESOLVED, The Board of County Commissioners does hereby close the  Putnam County Court House  at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 10,  2009.

The maintenance hearing on the Henry Schwall ditch #939 was held in the commissioners office. The ditch was done by mutual agreement.  Present were commissioner Love and replacement for Vince Schroeder Dennis Ellerbrock; Jeff Giesige of the Soil & Water Conservation District; Dave Brinkman of the engineer’s office and interested landowners Vince Schroeder and Rod Nuveman of the  State of Ohio.

Greg Ellerbrock who owns apartments in Sewer District No. 2 met with commissioners Schroeder and Love concerning the recent invoice showing the increase.

Commissioners Schroeder and Love journeyed to the dog pound.

 

2:20 p.m.

Teresa Lammers,  clerk of courts contract with Lee Baker computer technician coming in Monday $25.00 an hour, he gets $20.00, $5.00 is for benefits. 60 days.

Commissioner Schroeder and commissioner Love signed the contract.

 

2:30 p.m.

Kim Diamond, Job & Family Services, met with commissioners Schroeder and Love concerning  the roof on the new addition and several other issues.

 

2:45 p.m. – 4: 25 p.m.

Commissioners Schroeder and Love met with Martin Kuhlman, Terry Recker, Troy Recker and Jim Russell.
