Minutes for Tuesday, July 21, 2009

 

Mr. Jerwers        moved the adoption of the following Resolution:

WHEREAS, The Hancock Soil & Water recently informed the 6 Boards of Commissioners involved  in the Blanchard River Stream Enhancement Project that there is a need to collect a $2.00 per parcel maintenance assessment for the entire watershed in Hancock, Hardin, Putnam, Allen, Seneca and Wyandot Counties, to be collected in 2010 (see attached letter).

and

WHEREAS,  As per Hancock County Commissioners’ Resolution #214-09 dated May 19, 2009, stated each individual county must assess the maintenance fee to the affected parcels within its jurisdiction.

now therefore, be it

RESOLVED,  The Board of County Commissioners does hereby approve the need of a two dollar ($2.00)  per parcel maintenance assessment for all parcels within the Putnam County Blanchard River stream enhancement project to be collected over a one (1) year period and placed on the tax duplicate for tax year 2009, for collection in calendar year 2010.

Mr. Love moved that to provide for the unanticipated revenues for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2009, the following sums be and the same are hereby appropriated for the purpose for which expenditures are to be made during the fiscal year as follows:

Putnam Acres Care Center……Travel for Jessica Trinko to attend OHCA budget update in Mason July 27 with P.O. for $180.00; Lima Fire Equipment Co., services $750.00;

 

Recycle Grant……………Industrial Millwright Services, fabricate doors with hinges to cover openings on new bins, and on old bins cut out 3 baffles on 2 bins and cut out 2 baffles on one bin $1,948.00;

10:00 a.m.

Agenda. Present were commissioners Schroeder, Jerwers and Love and clerk Betty Schroeder. Also present were Jim Maurer from The Courier and Dick Ricker who was named as a replacement for Commissioner Love who has water draining into the Blanchard River. Resolution to add maintenance assessment  for the Blanchard River was on the agenda.

 

11:00 a.m. -

Cathy and Jonathan Fortman, and Denny Recker and Adam Cupp met with commissioners Schroeder, Jerwers and Love regarding health care benefits. Administrator Jessica Trinko was also present.

 

3:10 p.m. – 3: 25 p.m.

Steve Odenweller, Office of Public Safety met with commissioners Schroeder and Love about their building.

 

Mr. Jerwers     moved that the minutes be approved as read. Mr. Love

seconded the motion and the roll being called upon its adoption, the vote resulted as
