WHEREAS, Sealed bids for lawn care applications at the County Annex Building, the Putnam County Court House, the Buckeye Building and the Sheriff’s Office and Adult Detention Facility were opened and tabled on the 12th  day of February, 2009.

Mr. Schroeder     moved the adoption of the following resolution.

WHEREAS, the director of the Putnam County Job and Family Services has explained the need to abolish the Putnam County Job and Family Services “Community Service Policy” found in the Putnam County Employee Handbook and found on page sixty six (66) under XXVIII., Miscellaneous Policies (Item D.) and replace it with a new policy titled: “Paid Personal Leave”    

WHEREAS, the policy “Community Service” will be abolished and “Paid Personal Leave”  will be adopted in its place along with the attached requirements for using “Paid Personal Leave”, now therefore be it

RESOLVED, The Board of County Commissioners does hereby abolish “Community Service”  and approve “Paid Personal Leave” along with the attached policy for the Putnam County Job and Family Services with an effective date of July 1, 2009.

Commissioner Jerwers hosted the elected officials meeting held in the lunch room. Commissioners Schroeder and Love also attended.

Agenda. Present were commissioners Schroeder, Jerwers and Love; administrator Jessica Trinko and clerk Betty Schroeder.

 

1:30 p.m. – 2:55 p.m.

Melida Bockrath and her husband Bill; Barb Diemer and Roy Klass                                         met with commissioners Schroeder, Jerwers and Love concerning the drug bids at Putnam Acres Care Center. Also present were Melinda Deleyelle and Jessica Trinko of Putnam Acres and Marilyn Metzger who works at Tuckers Pharmacy.

 

3:30 p.m. – 3: 45 p.m.

Glen Arnold and Jason Hedrick met with commissioners Schroeder, Jerwers and Love. Glen said extension is going over a restructuring. He said commissioners will get a letter from Ohio State stating the need to eliminate ¼ of county agents in state of Ohio. Think Putnam County will not have any major changes.

 

4:05 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Commissioners Schroeder, Jerwers and Love met with Mel Borton. Mel  said there is a creek runs behind us (Sunset Drive) and we flood every year. Mr. Borton would like it straightened.
