TRADE COLUMBUS DAY

FOR DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING

 

R E S 0 L U T I 0 N

 

The Board of County Commissioners of Putnam County, Ohio, met in regular session on the 3rd day of  September, 2009, at the office of said Board with the following members present: Mr.  Vincent T. Schroeder, Mr. Travis A. Jerwers and Mr. John E. Love.

 

          Mr. Jerwers    moved the adoption of the following Resolution:

 

          WHEREAS, Columbus Day, Monday, October 12, 2009, is a legal holiday for county employees.

and

 

          WHEREAS, At a recent meeting of elected officials, it was discussed and approved by a majority of those attending that they felt the majority of  courthouse employees would rather work Columbus Day this year and have the day off after Thanksgiving.

now therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED,  The Board of County Commissioners does hereby agree to have regular office hours for the court house on Monday, October 12, 2009, and  be closed the day after Thanksgiving this year which is Friday, November 27, 2009.

 

            Mr.   Love      seconded the motion and the roll being called upon its adoption the vote resulted as follows: Mr. Love yes        Mr. Jerwers yes    Mr. Schroeder yes
